Course overview

• This course takes 5 hours and has three parts:
  1. CPR & primary care
  2. Secondary care
  3. Using an AED
• The course covers the most important techniques and skills for resuscitation and first aid as well as minimizing pain and the risk of long-term complications.
• The course fee is 200 CHF and includes the participant manual as well as the EFR competence card.
• The certification is valid for two years.

• Primary care and CPR
• Managing serious bleeding
• Managing shock
• Dealing with back injuries
• Airway- and breathing management
• using an AED (automatic external defibrilator)
• Using emergency oxygen
• Procedures for drowning incidents
• Managing injuries
• Managing illnesses
• Managing fractures and dislocations
• Managing burns and acid injuries

The course completion grants an EFR competence card (valid 24 months).
